I'm Back!!

     Hello all!!I apologize for my somewhat lengthy absence.Life happened,as it so often does,and I became extremely sick for an unknown reason.Between going back and forth to doctor's appointments and trying to make it through a single shift at work despite being in immense pain,I lost track of time.I wish I could say I was better,but unfortunately we still do not what is causing all this trouble.The signs and symptoms appear to point to my gallbladder as the culprit.The tests,however,say it isn't.Next week will be my final test and hopefully it will shed light and give me hope of being able to eat without being extremely sick afterwards.

     Now for the real reason why I made this post.First and foremost,I wanted to ensure everyone that I am alive and explain my absence.Second,I wanted to warn that there may be some time where I fall off the face of the earth again due to this same health problem.Lastly,I wantes to inform you that starting tomorrow I will pick back up with my actual blog.I will be doing my August Birchbox and August IPSY unboxings and reviews!!!Super excited!!!Sometime next week,I will be doing a review on Too Faced's newer eyeshadow pallatte,The Love Pallatte,that I am receiving through IPSY at a discounted price as one of their brand offers.By the way,if you still have mot checked out IPSY or Birchbox,I will leave a link below so that you can check them out!!They are definitely worth it!!

July IPSY Glambag 2015

   Hello everyone!!So yesterday I recieved my July IPSY bag!!Therefore,I am dedicating my very first official blog post to reviewing this bag and the items I recieved!!

                     

   For those of you who do not know what IPSY is,it is a monthly beauty subscription that costs $10 a month.Each month,they mail out five full or deluxe sample sized items for you to use and review.You also get a super cute makeup bag every month as well!!The items are usually makeup centered,however,they also send general beauty products from time to time as well.
   The theme for this month's glambag was "Summer Lovin" and the focus was on beauty items that were related to summer.Bright colors and items to help you get through a hot summer day.My adorable and brightly colored bag contained a deluxe sample size of tarte's extremely popular bronzer in the color Park Avenue Princess,Bellápierre lipstick in the color P.I.N.K,a Jorel Parker roller perfume in the scent Classico,Eyetini eyeliner jn the color Blue Hawaiian,and a tube of Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo lip balm in Vanilla Coconut.I was very impressed with every item in this bag.

   I will start off with the bronzer.I love anything tarte and was looking forward to this item the most.I own the Park Avenue Princess contour stick and was super excited to be receiving another item fron the Park Avenue Princess collection.It was everything I thought it would be.It applies smoothly and looks great.It has a little bit of shimmer to it,which I usually don't care for,however with this bronzer it is the perfect amount of shimmer.

   The Bellápierre lipstick is amazing as well.It applies so smoothly and the color is gorgeous.It also has a vanilla type scent to it instead of the usual waxy lipstick smell.As you can see,you can apply once for a hint of color or layer it to get a brighter color. (Igore my chubby hands in the photo...)

 
   I really like the Jorell Parker Classico perfume,but I will admit it is a bit strong for my tastes.It has a somewhat musky smell,but it also smells very clean smell.I decided to test it out at work and applied in the usual spots for perfume.It lasted all day.

   I was extremely impressed with the eyeliner and I am highly considering ordering more eyeliner from Eyetini.As you can guess from the name Blue Hawaiian,this eyeliner is bright blue.I am tan year round thanks to my Cherokee background and certain colored eyeliners just do not look right kn me because they don't show very well.This one,however,went on smoothly and was still bright blue on my eyes when I applied it.It also lasted all day and didn't smudge once.Again,ignore my chubby hand.

   Now for the very last item.This is probably the best lip balm I have used.It doesn't feel oily whenever you apply it like some lip balms and it instantly makes your lips feel amazing.The coconut smell makes it even more delectable!!

A Brief Introduction....

I am not quite sure how to begin....I guess I should start with my name.My name is Brittany.I am from a very tiny town nestled in the Appalachian Mountains in Eastern Tennessee.However,I also call Charleston,South Carolina my home as well.I am currently a biology student working towards a bachelors degree with dreams of becoming a marine biologist in the future.I am a Southern girl through and through,and I am proud of it!Although the ocean and biology are my passions,I have always had a fondness for all things beauty related.I love to do my hair and makeup,even if I'm staying at home for the day!I love trying new products and giving beauty advice to my friends as well.I am always the person my friends go to if they have a question about this foundation or this eyeliner or this hair product.I just love everything about beauty!

Enough about me though.Let me explain how this blog is going to function.As the title suggests,it is going to be about beauty.You can expect reviews,unboxings,hauls,and maybe even a tutorial/walkthrough or two.It all depends on what my readers want.I am also considering starting a YouTube channel to go along with this blog so that you can actually see me and I can interact with everyone on a different level!We will just have to wait and see how everything goes though....
